| Comment: | The International Symposium on Focal Therapy and Imaging in Prostate and Kidney Cancer is a joint initiative of the Departments of Urology of Duke, Durham N. Carolina and AMC, Amsterdam. The Symposium was initiated in 2008 and ever since it has been taking place in late May each year, rotating between the United States and Amsterdam. The initiative has a purely educational focus aiming at addressing key issues and latest developments in the minimally invasive treatment (focal therapy) that destroys the known area(s) of cancer while preventing a man’s continence and potency. First class and forward thinking presentations by distinguished and pioneering Faculty are selected to serve the educational goals of the Symposium. This year the 10th Focal will be held, in Noordwijk - Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 11-13 February 2018, chaired by Professor Jean De la Rosette, AMC University Hospital, The Netherlands. |
